brandOS 3.1: Team Permissions, SSO, and Advanced Analytics
We're excited to roll out brandOS 3.1, our latest release packed with new access control and permissions features, plus important fixes.
New:
- Admin Dashboard: A dedicated Brand Access settings panel lets admins manage SSO, teams, permissions, and password protection all in one place.
- Collection-Level Access Control: Lock any collection or sub-collection to specific teams, with permissions cascading from parent to child.
- Teams: Create named teams like Marketing, Legal, or Design and gate collections to them.
- Asset-Level Permissions: Gate individual assets to specific teams independently of their collection, with view, upload, edit, and delete flags.
- Download Request and Approval Workflow: Viewers can request download access to gated assets, while admins approve or deny requests directly from the dashboard.
- Asset Expiration: Give assets an expiration date, after which downloads are blocked and each attempt is logged.
- Advanced Analytics: Track download volume by country, regional usage trends, and most/least downloaded assets, with export to CSV and PDF.
- SSO (Okta + OneLogin): Enterprise teams can log in with their existing Okta or OneLogin credentials, with automatic account provisioning on first login.
- MCP Connector (Beta): Brandy now connects to Claude Desktop via the Model Context Protocol, so you can access your brand assets, colors, fonts, and collections from your AI workspace.
Improved:
- Image Preview Optimization: Asset previews now generate as WebP instead of PNG, cutting file size while keeping the same max dimensions and resize quality.
- Password Protection Management: Generate a secure password-protected link, reset or change the password, send it by email, and toggle protection on or off, all from one panel.
Fixed:
- Content Order Scrambling: Assets and blocks inside collections no longer rearrange themselves on page reload.
- SVG Preview Rendering: Fixed SVGs rendering with scrollbars, losing colors during sanitization, and having broken recolor options.
